Lack of strong civil Society Organizations makes the fight against corruption difficult in South Sudan.
Eastern Equatoria Anti-Corruption Commission Director Jeremiah Ater Kucjok said some civil society organization members go to government employment and abandoned their work of fighting corruption, Emmanuel Radio reported.
Mr Ater said lack of willingness by whistle blowers to disclose their identity due to fear was another challenge the institution faces.
He said out of seven cases reported to his office this year, only one person accepted to give personal data while the rest declined.
The Director noted that such attitude makes investigate of corruption cases difficult.
The state chief corruption fighter explained that a case without evidence and witnesses lacks credibility.
