Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Parish Leer of Malakal Diocese on Sunday graduated 13 new catechists after five months training at ‘James Duol Kai’ Catechetical Centre.
The graduation started with thanksgiving Eucharistic celebrations and the new catechists were sent to carry out evangelization amongst the Nuer community.
The training was on the Bible, catechesis, liturgy, ecclesiology, justice and peace and other subjects.
The people of St Joseph Parish were grateful to God, the Diocese, Comboni Missionaries and bodies that supported the training including Brazil, Germany, Italy and England.
The graduation ceremony brought together faithful of the Diocese of Malakal, Comboni Missionaries and Christian communities.
