United State of America has no budget to construct electricity power plant in South Sudan.
United State Agency for International Development or USAID Head of Mission in South Sudan David McCloud said his government has no power plant building project in South Sudan because it is too costly, Bakhita Radio reported.
He said US would build tourism and invest in other sectors.
Mr McCloud added that the American government was trying to build up public-private partnership to encourage investors to work with the government.
US Special Envoy for South Sudan and Sudan Donald Booth said President Barack Obama launched a program called ‘Power Africa’ to boost electricity in some African countries.
Ambassador Booth said US government was working closely with the African governments to attract US investors to participate in the infrastructural development.
The official made the remarks on Friday during a press conference at the US Embassy in Juba.
