Fr. Ukelo pointing out that his speaking of corruption does not mean that Catholic Diocese of Torit staff is corrupt but a preventive measure to discourage them against the vice.

He commended the employees for good performance in their respective duties in accordance to the mission and the vision of the Catholic diocese.

Fr. Ukelo stressed that as an elder he feels the cordial attachment of the employees to the diocese and their commitment to serve the people even during times of hardship which has uplifted the region should not erode.

The vicar general reacted to a media publication where he was quoted as saying “some workers have tendencies of not keeping records and later forge documents at night to blindfold their bosses instead of being sincere to their employers and donors”.

Fr. Ukelo clarified that this piece of advice was meant to all employees in the country regardless where and for whom they work, explaining that it was not specifically directed to Torit’s Church workers.
