Over 500 faithful of Saint Peter Parish of the Catholic Diocese of Yei in Mundri Western Equatoria State on Sunday received three missionary priests from Mary Immaculate.
Yei Vicar General Zachariah Angutuwa Sebit said the coming of the missionaries relieved the Diocesan burden, Easter Radio reported.
He added that St Peter Parish which covers Mundri East, Mundri West and Mvolo Counties was the largest in the Diocese.
Mary Immaculate Superior General Albert Amalaraz said his congregation would do their pastoral ministry and education in the parish.
Father David Kviandaisay was named Saint Peter Parish Priest.
Parishioner Peter Yagga said people welcomed the three priests with tears of joy because they did not expect to get priests.
