The Sudan Revolutionary Front or SRF claimed to have dispersed a Sudan Armed Forces or SAF battalion on Wednesday in Dilling, South Kordofan.
SRF said in a statement its forces dispersed a SAF battalion in Wali Abu Si’da in the locality of Dilling, Voice of Peace reported.
SPLM-N spokesperson Arnu Ngutulu Lodi said SRF forces imposed heavy losses to the government troops on Wednesday morning.
Justice and Equality Movement of JEM spokesperson Jibril Adam Bilal said their joint forces crushed and dispersed ‘government militias consisting of Janjaweed and foreign militias.’
He explained that the renewed clashes between rebels and the SAF in several parts of South Kordofan displaced many civilians.
Sudan Humanitarian Aid Commission estimated that over 35,000 people from the government and SPLM-North controlled areas were displaced by the clashes.
