328,000 flood-affect people need assistance

Close to 328,000 affected by floods in nine states were assessed as needing assistance and under 200,000 have already got it.
 
The scale of this year’s seasonal floods is approaching the 2012 mark, when 340,000 people were affected by long heavy rains. 
 
Jonglei was the most affected state: over 127,000 people need assistance.
 
Eastern Equatoria was the only state not affected by rising waters.
 
UNOCHA said this year’s floods were not as severe as last year as water levels remained lower.
