Rebels destroy Sudanese military convoy in Blue Nile, seize material

Forces of the Sudan Revolutionary Front or SRF attacked and destroyed a Sudanese army convoy in Blue Nile State.
 
SPLM-N spokesperson Arnu Ngutulu Lodi said on Tuesday that SRF forces attacked and destroyed a military convoy ‘on its way to commit crimes against innocent civilians as part of the government’s dry season campaign.’
 
Mr Ngutulu added that the army convoy was destroyed between Torda Bugol and Salbel in Bau County. 
 
He said the rebel forces seized three vehicles mounted with machine guns, two heavy machine guns, three RPG-7 rocket launchers, and 23 Kalashnikov assault rifles. 
 
Mr Ngutulu added that four army vehicles were destroyed and five troops killed. 
 
Two rebels died and four others were wounded.
 
The spokesman added that SRF was closely following the movements of SAF and militia troops ahead of its dry season campaign.
