Political analyst on Saturday asked US Ambassador to South Sudan to explain why the Vice President and the Foreign Minister were humiliated in New York Airport in October.
Alfred Taban lamented on the mistreatment of James Wani Igga and Barnaba Marial Benjamin in United States of America.
Wani Igga and Marial were subjected to serious checking, involving removal of their shoes; something he said he would not accept, but rather ask for immediate return home.
Mr Taban who is also Juba Monitor Editor demanded explanation or expulsion of US Ambassador Susan Page because such mistreatment was unacceptable for top government dignitaries.
Ambassador Page described the incident as unfortunate and explained that US government has no control over airport authorities.
She pointed out that it was the failure of South Sudan embassy in US to coordinate and submit details of visiting officials to airport authorities as required in diplomatic channels.
Dr Page said South Sudanese officials in US were supposed to come and receive their signatories at New York International Airport.
Ambassador Page revealed that she met President Salva Kiir to resolve the matter and promote cooperation between Juba and Washington DC.
