Western Bahr El Ghazal Finance minister said state budget increased by 39 percent to ensure effective service delivery to citizens.
Lilian Valentino Rizik said 2013/2014 budget stands at 217 million South Sudanese Pounds compared to 166 million 2012/2013 budget.
She attributed the increase to the restoration of ten percent cut salaries last year due to austerity measures.
The minister said operating cost and capital expenditure increase in counties development grants and introduction of new county block grant to fund core administrative functions.
Ms Valentino said there was increase in the state share in the national taxation pool and new transfer sectoral county conditional transfer from the national line ministries.
The Minister said her ministry also re-allocated little increase in 2013/2014 fiscal year on three important chapters which include, salaries, operating costs and capital costs.
Minister Lilian said the allocation was to cover shortage in salaries of the classified staff, provision of more services and completion of unfinished projects in the state.
The Finance minster disclosed the increase on Friday while presenting 2013/2014 draft budget to the State Assembly.
