Yousif Kuwa Teachers Training Institute in Nuba Mountains of Southern Kordofan on Tuesday graduated 129 teachers who underwent seven months training.
The Institute Principal Jargi Kumir Papa appreciated the graduates for completing their course despite a number of challenges including war and lack of scholastic materials, Voice of Peace reported.
The Acting Education Director General Kamal Saad said the training followed the scarcity of teachers in the region.
He said the newly graduated teachers would be deployed to various counties of the state.
Nuba Mountains Training and Capacity Building Director Magbul Kheir Elseed congratulated the graduates for efforts they exerted during the training.
This was the first group of teachers graduating from Yousif Kuwa Teachers Training Institute in Nuba Mountains since the war broke out.
