PTA blames Kauda police for releasing suspects

St Vincent Catholic Primary Parent-Teacher Association or PTA chairman in Heiban County of Nuba Mountains blamed Kauda police for releasing two children suspected of breaking into teachers’ compound last month.
 
Two children were accused of having links with suspects who stole a drum of petrol forcing the administration to close the school last Friday, Voice of Peace Radio reported.
 
Hassan Ibrahim Brinji blamed the police for failing to hold the two children in custody.
 
He said the police were supposed to comply with the order of local chiefs and keep the children in custody until the chiefs decided.
 
Umda Adam Jadid Kappi expressed disappointment after the police released the boys without their knowledge in order to trace the boys to arrest the suspects.
 
The Umda stated that they will continue to look for the suspects until they were arrested.
 
Umda Kappi threatened to use traditional cult to spell out the thieves.
 
El Obeid Diocesan Education Coordinator in Nuba Mountains Sister Cathy Solano gave the chiefs ten days ultimatum to arrest the suspects before she decides.
