Southern Sudan TV starts to show on Saturday a series of 18 short videos produced by local children to share their hopes and concerns.
The new TV series titled √É’Peace in My World’ contains one-minute films produced by Southern Sudanese children and goes on air every Saturday at 6 PM.The episodes were produced by the 18 children who attended five-day training on the basics of TV production.
The short films, produced during the training sessions, are personal statements about the pains and pleasures of growing up in Southern Sudan.
They also reflect on the challenges children face such as neglect, violence, and abuse present in homes, schools, and the community.
The series is sponsored by The One Minutes Foundation in partnership with UNICEF and South Sudan Television.
One Minutes Foundation organized similar workshops in about 100 countries that produced almost 2500 short videos like the ones SSTV is starting to show.
