Lainya County in Central Equatoria State on Wednesday conducted a public hearing on the girl child education to educate citizens about Education Bill 2013.
ECS Service Committee chairperson Itta Esther Pitya said it was very important to have a girls education law so that girls’ education abusers were brought to book, Easter Radio reported.
She pointed out that the bill will act as a lesson for punishing people who impregnate school girls.
Lainya County Commissioner Huda Micah Laila proposed imprisoning culprits of girls’ education.
She said paying money will not be enough for punishing law breakers.
Commissioner Huda earlier appreciated the team for collecting the information on the ground to contribute to the girls’ child education.
