The President of the Republic on Thursday issued a number of republican decrees appointing Jonglei Caretaker Governor, the much awaited justice minister, two deputy ministers and a new government chief whip.
In the decrees read over the state SSTV, Salva Kiir Mayardit appointed former Defence Minister John Kong Nyuon as caretaker Governor of Jonglei State.
The president relieved Justice Deputy Minister Paulino Wanawilla Onango and reappointed him Justice Minister.
President Kiir appointed Peter Beshir Gbandi deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Selwa Gibril Beriberi deputy minister for Cabinet Affairs.
He removed former Government Chief Whip Atem Garang and replaced him with Tulio Odongi, a MP from Eastern Equatoria.
The decrees were effective from Thursday 2013.
