CHAIRPERSON OF SOUTHERN SUDAN ELECTION COMMITTEE DIES

The Chairman of Southern Sudan High Election Committee passed away in Khartoum.

Ceasar Arkangelo Suleiman died yesterday after a long illness.

Jersa Kide Barsaba, a Southern Sudan High Election Committee official, confirmed to SCR News over the phone Mr. Suleiman’s demise.

Mr. Kide said the remains of Mr. Suleiman were transported to Wau today, where he will be buried.

Mr. Suleiman was appointed Chairman of the Southern Sudan High Election Committee since its formation.

He was sick throughout the elections period and Anthony Ariki Lowly acted as chairman during his long illness.

Mr. Suleiman was a former director general of Police and Prisons regional administration in Bahr el Ghazal.
