An US military advisor based in Nzara County, Western Equatoria State, said their mission is to hunt down Lord’s Resistance Army rebels and capture leader Joseph Kony.
The military advisor told Anisa Radio that the US military were working hard to bring Kony’s movement to an end.
He stated that Kony is suspected to be in Central African Republic but he keeps changing location.
The advisor made the statements while taking over the command of the US group stationed at Nzara airstrip.
The outgoing advisor named as Mr Ryan thanked Nzara County Commissioner for his ample cooperation in the fight against the Ugandan rebels.
Nzara Commissioner Elia Richard Box thanked Mr Ryan for training the SPLA commando to do the job efficiently.
Mr Box told the US advisors that South Sudan still fears the LRA due to its borders with DR Congo and Central African Republic.
The Fourth Battalion of the American Military Advisors changes its forces every six months.
