Western Bahr El Ghazal State Governor issued a decree on Saturday naming his long awaited deputy after a government reshuffle in August.
Rizik Zachariah Hassan named Zachariah Joseph Garang as the State Deputy Governor and Minister for Physical Infrastructure in the state, Voice of Hope reported.
Mr Joseph previously served as the Minister for Cooperative and Rural Development.
The state reshuffle followed President Salva Kiir’s drastic national cabinet dissolution and replacement at the end of July.
