Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO called on the national government, United Nations or UN and African Union or AU to implement the Security Council Resolution 1325.
CEPO Executive Director Edmond Yakani urged the national government to curb cases of rape, Bakhita Radio reported.
He urged the AU Commission head not to allow African countries to withdraw from ICC as the continent is experiencing crimes against humanity in Darfur, DR Congo, Somalia and rebels’ attacks in Jonglei State.
Mr Edmond called on the UN General Assembly to elect a woman Secretary General to fulfil gender sensitivity since men chaired the organization for 68 years.
CEPO Executive Director spoke on Thursday as the world marked 13th anniversary of the Resolution 1325 which calls for women protection, peace and security.
