Western Bahr El Ghazal Governor called for forgiveness from people he offended and he forgave all those who wronged him.
Rizik Zachariah Hassan made the call on Saturday during a family gathering at Chief Amabile Ucin’s home in Wau following the appointment of his family member Rita Andrea as state minister for Public Service, Voice of Hope reported.
He called on those who fled the state during December’s violence to return in order to joint development.
Mr Zachariah accused a number of politicians of triggering last December’s violence which he described as ‘a very big temptation for the state.’
He cautioned the new ministers against tribalism.
Mr Zachariah said getting a ministerial position was more than just a daily bread or improving ones financial status.
Most state ministers and advisors attended the thanksgiving gathering and congratulated their colleague.
Chief Amabile Ucin’s home visit was the second to Governor Zachariah after December’s violence.
