Uganda, DR Congo, and Central and Western Equatoria representatives approved a number of resolutions on sustainable peace and development at the end of a three-day regional conference in Yei.
Daniel Ezbon from Western Equatoria read the communiqué which agreed on free movement of people and goods across the borders and provision of social services to the three regions, Easter Radio reported.
The communiqué said the conference agreed to establish mechanisms to address issues of insecurity, and economic and socio-cultural development.
It reiterated the commitment of the representatives of the three countries to implement the resolutions of the conference.
The participants set the next meeting in West Nile, Uganda, on January 21, 2014.
The three-day joint regional conference also resolved to reduce some trade obstacles across the borders shared by South Sudan, DR Congo and Uganda.
