National Labour Undersecretary said government does not overlook the employment of children in construction industries and other forms of hazardous labour.
In statement issued on Wednesday, Hellen Achiro Lotara said the Ministry of Labour and Public Service, International Labour Organization and other stakeholders prepared a list of hazardous tasks for children that would soon be disclosed to the public.
She said the list spells out the kinds of work children should not do.
Ms Achiro added that the responsibility of eradicating child labour rests in all stakeholders not just the government.
She urged Parliament to speedily pass the Labour Bill to facilitate the formulation of policies and regulations to combat child labour.
