Participants in the Bible training and civic education session that took place today in Juba praised the event as a better way of building peace in society.
Juba Archdiocese Women’s Desk holds a monthly training for women. Today’s session was peace in the Bible and in civic education.SCR News reporter talked to Lucy Akelo, one of the participants. She said the training was a wonderful experience.
She added she feels she became a channel of peace following St. Francis of Assisi.
The only male participant, Dominic Anyiri, said it is the first time that he attended the training and he benefitted much from it.
Another trainee, Agata David, explained that the workshop helped her to understand what peace is and how to extend it to others.
The workshop drew some 65 participants.
