Lainya County launched a school cluster management system to improve the education sector.

County Education Inspector Alfred Mikaya said the cluster would strengthen cooperation for special educational needs, better access for learning, testing and assessment, Easter Radio reported.

State Education Inspector Abugo Losuba said the program improved schools through teachers’ training and closely linked primary to secondary schools.

He appealed to councillors to file up problems facing schools so that better solutions are found in the county.

County Executive Director Timon Wani said education needs collective responsibility of teachers and parents to minimize dropouts that result from early marriages.

He revealed that together with the paramount chief and county education director, they would soon tour schools to find out challenges.

The state education ministry launched the school cluster management system on Friday under the theme ‘Together for effective improvement of education standard.’
