The Governor of Western Equatoria on Tuesday urged Muslims and Christians to collaborate and love one another.

Addressing the believers during the Islamic celebration of Eid Al Adha at Yambio Freedom Square, Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro wished a happy festival to all Muslims, Anisa Radio reported.

He told the gathering that all churches and denominations pray to one God Almighty.

Governor Bakosoro urged both Muslims and Christians to work in unity for the development of the new nation and the state in particular.

He stated that everybody had the right to pray in the religion of choice.

Governor Bakosoro advised Muslims who do not read to go to school.

Zubeir Abdullah Muhmin appreciated the governor for the love, respect and unity he showed to them during the Eid Al Adha festival.

Eid al Adha, also called Feast of Sacrifice, is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide in honour of Abraham who willingly accepted to sacrifice his only son Ismail as an act of submission to God’s command.
