South Sudan pockets 780,4 million US dollars from oil in five months

South Sudan made 780,4 million US dollars from oil revenue between June and October.
 
The Ministry of Petroleum, Mining and Industry issued a statement last week disclosing that South Sudan’s oil fields produced 13.6 million barrels of crude in the past six months.
 
It was sold for 1.3 billion dollars.
 
232.3 million dollars were used to repay external loans.
 
Sudan received 329.3 million dollars from tariffs and transitional financial arrangement fees.
 
By region, the Upper Nile oil fields produced 11.8 million barrels of Dar Blend crude and the Unity wells poured out 1.8 million barrels of Nile Blend crude.
 
The Ministry disclosed the figures on oil production ‘for purposes of accountability and transparency.’
