The Catholic Archbishop of Juba urged Muslims to join hands with Christians and the Government for a better South Sudan as they celebrate Eid Al-Adha.

Addressing the press on Monday, Archbishop Paulino Lukudu Loro appealed to all religious people in South Sudan to unite and engage in fighting for justice, peace and reconciliation.

He said justice, peace and reconciliation are priorities for the Catholics in Africa and around the world.

Archbishop Lukudu wished Muslims joy, love and peace as they celebrate the Feast of the Sacrifice that marks the end of this year’s Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca.

Eid Al-Adha is a festive day when Muslims sacrifice an animal and distribute the meat among family, friends and the poor.
