Murder, rape and defilement practices dominate reported crimes among most communities in Magwi County, Easten Equatoria.
A new assessment conducted by a civil society organization revealed that the mentioned vices are the main incidences happening in the county.The one-week assessment done by Generation Agency for Development and TransformationÐPentagon aimed at assessing the current state of affairs and key actors in community planning activities among others.
GADET-Pentagon’s Executive Director, Taban Christopher said the assessment involved conducting a baseline study through documenting, compiling and submitting data on community development planning activities.
Mr. Taban said his organization also emphasised on the constructive dialogue competencies and conflict resolution abilities of local actors within the state.
He explained that complex cases like murder, rape, defilement and disputes over land were referred to courts of law.
