Yei River County Youth chairman urged parents to protect their children from contracting HIV AIDS.
Sallah Joseph Jeremiah said HIV AIDS was rising among children between 11 and 13 years of age, Easter Radio reported.
He said under aged children are vulnerable to contract the disease because emotions compel them to fulfil their desires.
Mr Joseph said recent HIV AIDS figures revealed alarming rates among school children.
Mr Joseph noted that some parents do not sit down to educate their children on adolescence control.
He called for more awareness campaign on HIV AIDS to reduce infections in communities.
