The International Committee of Red Cross or ICRC in partnership with South Sudan Red Cross trained Western Bahr El Ghazal state Legislative members on how to report emergency cases for quick intervention.
ICRC field delegate John Goodman explained that it was important for MPs to know the role of Red Cross to enable them report cases of emergencies in constituencies they represent, Voice of Hope reported.
He said Red Cross played important role in disaster response and health awareness.
Mr Goodman said ICRC works hand in hand with South Sudan Red Cross.
The training brought together more than 30 state MPs.
