Marial Wau community in Jur River County of Western Bahr El Ghazal condemned petition against Moris Yel Akol Tiit appointment as state Education Minister.
In a letter addressed to the Governor Rizik Zachariah Hassan, dated September 24 undersigned by more than 100 community members including paramount chief and county assembly speaker condemned the petition of the constitutional post holders, Voice of Hope reported.
The letter said the community is against the petition of Jur County politicians of executing principle of ‘divide and rule’ or ‘kill slaves with slaves.’
It said Marial Wau community is not part of the cabinet wrangle in the state but support the appointment.
This reaction came after Jur River County leaders in the state cabinet last week petitioned the Governor against Moris Yel appointment to Education Minister because he came from Warrap state.
The rejection of Moris Yel appointment was signed by twelve members including the new cabinet members.
