The national Interior Minister order to ban all foreigners from boda-boda business was not meant for Ugandans only.
Yei River County Commissioner Juma David Augustine on Wednesday told the press that Ugandans misinterpreted and misunderstood the order, Easter Radio reported.
He clarified that the ban was directed to stop all foreigners from operating boda-boda business in South Sudan.
Mr David wondered when some individuals in Uganda misunderstood the issue to the extent that some parliamentarians attempted to raise a motion in the assembly.
The Commissioner said foreigners have the right to ride motorbikes but prohibited from running boda-boda business.
Mr David accused some foreigners of using motorbikes for committing crimes including killing innocent people in the country.
He pointed out that the ban was a national move taken against foreigners involved in boda-boda business.
The Commissioner told the press after returning from the joint security meeting between South Sudan Police Service and Uganda Police Force in Juba.
