Multi-donors on Monday launched a Health Pooled Fund or HPF to the tune of 200 million US dollars in Juba.
The Fund is a collective aid initiative funded by the governments of United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Sweden to stabilize South Sudan health sector.
HPF Crown Agents Portfolio Manager Jonathan Bossley told CRN that the funds will begin flowing through the implementing partners down to the county health departments.
He said the top priority was to build the capacity of the health sector.
Mr Bossley expressed optimism in the success of Health Pooled Funds program.
The Manager appealed for strong collaboration between the national government and the international community in development projects.
The Health Pooled Fund will support health services in Eastern Equatoria, Northern and Western, Bahr El Ghazal, Warrap, Lakes and Unity states.
