SPLM Youth League chairman in Yei River County of Central Equatoria state welcomed the recent government changes describing it a positive development.
Sallah Joseph Jeremiah said the changes were because of austerity measures that hit the country due to the oil shut down, Easter Radio reported.
He said the state ministries were reduced for government to deliver basic services to citizens.
Mr Joseph clarified that government reduction did not happen only in Central Equatoria but started in the national government.
The Youth League chairman appreciated Governor Clement Wani Konga for promoting Yei to Municipality with their daughter Cecilia Oba as its first Mayor.
Mr Joseph said the coming of the first Yei Municipal Mayor would bring a lot of development in the county.
