Lakes SPLM Liberation Council extraordinary meeting kicks off

Lakes State SPLM Liberation Council on Monday held an extraordinary meeting following national chairman’s directives to resolve power disputes.
 
State SPLM Acting Secretary Mabor Ater Dhuol said the meeting was to implement the directives of Salva Kiir Mayardit to fill the vacant posts of comrades in Juba, Good News Radio reported.
 
Mr Ater clarified that the meeting was specifically for the state Liberation Council which comprises of 51 members excluding counties and payams members.
 
He said the Council will decide on his confirmation as state secretary according to the party’s Constitution. 
 
There were desputes tension among SPLM members in the state over power struggles but the national chairman resolved them after a very long closed door meeting at the end of September.
