Western Equatoria Minister for General Education on Saturday announced that the President of the Republic asked all schools to sing the National Anthem everyday.
Pia Philip Michael said last week, he met the National Education Minister in Juba and discussed teachers’ promotion and salaries increment, Anisa Radio reported.
He said the state government plans to provide motorcycles and some money for fuel to facilitate inspectors’ and county education directors’ work.
The Minister said the government prioritizes capacity building of teachers and training centers across the state to promote education.
He added that other main focuses are schools infrastructures in every payam, improvement of inspections, Parent-Teacher Association trainings, board of governance, and facilitation of access to secondary education.
The Minster reiterated government’s keenness to see all children enrolled in schools.
