West Bahr El Ghazal State public heath authorities on Wednesday confiscated expired goods at Mapel market.
Public Health Secretary Michael Mayen said expired goods cause a number of diseases to people, Don Bosco Radio reported.
He explained that traders usually sell expired goods including beer, beverages and biscuits at night.
Mr Mayen advised people to be careful when buying commodities at markets because traders were cheating them with the expired ones.
