Women Development Organization called for integration of United Nations Security Councils Resolution or UNSCR 1325 National Action Plan or NAP into the New Deal Initiative.
EVE Executive Director Rita Martin on Thursday told CRN that New Deal Initiative is a concept for supporting fragile states with adequate funding for stable development.
She said the gender aspect was left out of the new deal compact.
The Director urged the government, civil society organizations and non-governmental organizations to ensure implementation of NAP beyond paper work.
Ms Martin was speaking on Thursday at a consultative workshop for the national steering committee on the UNSCR 1325.
About 20 countries in the world developed National Action Plan on the Resolution after UN Security Council adopted it in 2000.
