South Sudan to hold curriculum conference

The National Minister for Education, Science and Technology announced plans to hold a one-week curriculum conference.
 
John Gai Yoah said the conference will decide the type of education to be adopted at university levels.
 
He added that faith based organisations, civil societies, universities and other stakeholders would be involved in the decision-making conference.
 
Mr Gai emphasized the need to revisit the examination system for credibility, technical schools, the concept of secondary schools and teachers’ training institutes in the country.
 
He stressed on the need to harmonize recruitment policies nationwide.
 
Mr Gai revealed plans to visit all counties and states in October to assess situations, listen to citizens and verify the existing data.
 
Minister Gai believes changes in the education system can only be realized through teamwork and practicality.
