The Agency for Cooperation and Research Development or ACORD on Monday started training Central Equatoria, Eastern Equatoria and Upper Nile States on community peace recovery and reconciliation in Juba.
ACORD Country Director Stephen Wani described the training as one of the importnat and biggest programmes funded by Dutch government in seven countries in Africa including South Sudan, Bakhita Radio reported.
He said the workshop aimed at equipping participants with skills to draw work plan on community peace and reconciliation for implementation at their various areas.
Mr Wani said the two-day training workshop brought together youths, women groups and paramount chiefs from the three states.
Central Equatoria Local Government Minister Albert Pitya Redentore said conflict resolution was a very vital tool to unify people throughout the country.
He urged participants to pay more attention and use the knowledge they acquired for creating peaceful coexistence.
