The increasing floods in Tonj South County of Warrap State left one girl dead in Mabior Yar Boma.
Commissioner William Wol on Sunday said floods affected many areas in the county including Mabior Yar, Malual-Mock, Akuching, Cuweicok and Manyangok Payams rendering many people homeless, Don Bosco Radio reported.
He urged the state government, international and national NGOs to rescue the worsening situation of the people.
One of the victims of Mabior Yar Santino Mathony Ateny said 274 people were displaced to roads.
He urged the state government and NGOs to help them with food, mosquito nets and shelters.
Mr Ateny said the flood destroyed their farms leaving them without food for their children and domestic animals.
