Bishop Rudolph Deng Majok of Wau appointed Fr. Santino Maurino Morokomomo as SCBC acting Secretary General at the beginning of the month.
Fr. Morokomomo succeeds to Fr. Omina Leo Okwormoi from Torit in the office.
Fr. Morokomomo, 48, was ordained a priest in Wau in 1993.
He was first assigned to the Wau Pastoral, Liturgical and Catechetical (PaLiCa) Centre.
Later he became the Executive Secretary of the Bishops Conference Regional office in Nairobi and in Juba.
In 2009, he became the Executive Secretary of the SCBC PaLiCa Department in Khartoum.
Fr. Santino serves in the two offices until the SCBC names a new fulltime Secretary General.
