Over 20 SPLM members held a meeting in Rashad County, Nuba Mountains, on Saturday, to discuss the brief arrest of party leaders in Khartoum.
Rasha SPLM chairperson, Younan Albarut, told Voice of Peace Radio that the county party body met because when Nuba citizens heard about the incident, they thought to go on strike.
Mr. Albarut said the NCP should know that SPLM is now part of the government, and they should share all what they have.
He added that the NCP is still taking about the SPLM as rebels and the step the NCP took was not peaceful.
Mr. Albarut said the SPLM office in Rasha strongly rejected the arrest to the SPLM leaders in Khartoum.
He added that it also disapproved any kind of strike in the county.
However, Mr Albarut said the leaders of his area will show their disappointment through a peaceful demonstration where they will present a written document to the UN representatives.
