The national Minister of Education promised to Bahr El Ghazal University students that there would be changes in all public universities.
John Gai Yai told students that his ministry would handle immediate priorities to ensure smooth running of national universities, Voice of Hope reported.
He said the visit to universities marks the beginning of reducing challenges which crippled public institutions all over the country.
The Minister called on students to use their intellect to resolve some challenges within institutions.
He encouraged the formation of students’ union in universities, but warned that the union should not be an opposition to administrations.
Students demanded the ministry to allow them pay less money.
