National Minister for Gender, Child and Social Welfare Minister on Wednesday comforted hundreds orphans and disadvantaged children in Torit, Easter Equatoria.
Awut Deng Acuil spent hours sharing life stories, folk stories and riddles with the children, Emmanuel Radio reported.
Taking the position of loving mother who feeds her children, the minister served lunch and refreshment to the children.
Ms Deng noted that the long liberation struggle for Independence of South Sudan left many children orphans.
She said disadvantaged children in South Sudan need great attention to grow up as good citizens.
Ms Deng told state ministers and MPS that rampant street children in the country was her main purpose of visiting Eastern Equatoria.
Acholi traditional group coloured the day with dances that attracted a number of guests including state Health minister Margret Itto.
