Western Bahr El Ghazal Governor on Wednesday presented the new cabinet to state Legislative Assembly for vetting.
Rizik Zachariah Hassan revealed that the appointment was based on a number of conditions including loyalty to SPLM, the Governor, government and capabilities to execute directives, Voice of Hope reported.
He explained that the appointment was also based on qualifications though all ministers may not meet the six requirements.
Governor Zachariah called on the assembly to quickly endorse the new cabinet to avoid power vacuum in the state.
The acting speaker, Paulino Aynji Akol formed a five-member vetting committee headed by the assembly clerk, deputized by the assembly’s legal consultant.
He directed the committee to thoroughly study and review the appointments and report back within 24 hours.
Governor Rizik Zachariah Hassan on Tuesday appointed nine ministers including two new faces.
The list presented to the assembly for vetting included two ministers currently outside the state.
