Yei River County Information and Culture Inspector urged teenagers to adhere to their parents’ advices.

Ephraim Jomo Michael told teenagers that their misconception of freedom pushed them to urban centres and exposed them to high exploitation in the society, Easter Radio reported.

He urged teenagers to refrain from bad behaviours and concentrate on education.

Mr Jomo said parents should have parental care to teenagers.

He said if young people are given more pressure they run away from home and drop out of school.

Mr Jomo appealed to parents to care for their children in a very special way because they are future leaders.

The call came after a research indicated that many young boys and girls were engaged in unhealthy behaviour like prostitution due to exposure to excessive freedom in urban centres.
