At least six people died and a number were wounded in two robbery attacks in a road of Unity State in five days.

Local sources told SCR News that the attacks took place along the road between Panyijiar and Mayen Dit between Thursday and Friday and on Monday.

Four travelers were killed on the spot.

Ten injured people were brought to the MSF Hospital in Leer for treatment.

Our sources added that after the first incident a SPLA patrol killed two robbers.

Monday’s attack could be an act of revenge for the killings.

Locals blame Dinka tribesmen for the violence.

The area between Panyijiar and Mayen Dit, a stretch of some 90 kilometres, has been the scene of frequent inter-clan fighting and cattle raiding.
