Western Equatoria State Police Commissioner on Wednesday told police to shape themselves responsibly.
Majok Dut Ajak said the police mission is to protect citizens and their properties, Anisa Radio reported.
He explained that police officers’ second task was to detect and investigate crimes.
Mr Dut urged the police to be close to the community and respect the national duty.
The Police Commissioner returned to Yambio on Monday after participating in a ten-day extraordinary police leadership meeting in Wau, Western Bahr El Ghazal.
