The new speaker of Yei County Legislative Council on Monday said his priority was to restructure the council business.
Cosmas Lasuba Kasiano called for cooperation among the executive, the legislature and the judiciary, Easter Radio reported.
He said the Council’s Constitution gives powers to the local government to deliver services to the people.
Margret Fadia Steven, a member of the Council expects hard work and cooperation among members of the new council for the welfare of Yei River County.
Bullen Gwagbe Kajomere, one of the members of the Council expressed happiness and appreciation to the Governor for trusting and appointing them.
He pledged to cooperate with the County Commissioner for better service delivery.
Central Equatoria state Governor Clement Wani Konga on Friday issued a decree appointing 35 council members including the speaker.
At least 31 members were sworn into office on Monday.
